Hood Scoop side?

I was wondering if they make a carbon fiber hood that had the turbo scoop on the right side other then the stock left, this is gonna be on a non turbo 99 eclipse gs and i was wondering if it would "tecnicaly" be useless, and if it would look retarted in your opinion. Remember my cars not turboed right now.

That bulge is just to clear the cam gear cover on the 4g63. 420A cars have them because it's cheaper for the manufacturer to produce 1 kind of hood than to produce 2. Back in the 90s I saw some aftermarket hoods with the bulge on the right and some with the bulge on both sides. I've never seen a carbon fiber hood like that. The one on the right was different but looked ok. The one with 2 bulges was hideous.

i honestly think the scoop to the left looks better....just because you dont see the ones on the right to often.

It's still needed on the 2gs with a 4g63. A friend of mine recently bought a vented hood without the bulge meant for the N/T and it hits his cam gear cover. But they did make some 1gs without the bulge.

Did anybody notice the "closeup" view of those hoods? Are those FARBON?

I would e-mail them before I bought the one with the budge on the right its easy to flip a pic. But that would Look sweet on a 420a car espically since the eninge is mounted on the right side, now of corse I would have to paint it.

The battery is located right under neath of the bulge on the 420a. If it wasn't there I am pretty sure the hood would hit the battery.

You should get a hood with both and then your car can have "camel toe".
