Alright so today has been completely dedicated to getting my holset installed and ready for the dyno tomorrow.

So I get a good start bright and early and hit some major problems. I had ordered the Slowboy Cast Manifold with a 38mm cutout, which I do not recommend to anyone for several reason, if you want to know pm me.

Anyways the compressor housing hits the banjo bolt that is the coolant return for the stock turbo. And guess what the size M14x1.5 is a random size and no one had it. I finally figured out after several hours that a oil drain plug would work fine and give me the clearance I needed. Which brought me to issue number 2.

Since the Slowboy manifold brought me back twords the block and the turbo being massive means I had to dent the water pipe, well more like beat it. I ended up having to bash it nearly in half to clear it, only to find out that I know had coolant leak at the water pump and thermostat housing because it bent the tips of the water pipe.

So my buddy has a water pipe off a 95 GSX, I get it bash it in and put it on the car. And guess what for some weird reason it doesn't fit, the thermostat housing is a good 1/2 off where it needs to be.

This is a nightmare and I needed to post this to feel a little better.

So if you know where I can get a water pipe, or have some general tips for a completely worn out grease monkey it would be appreciated.

That sucks. Hendersonville, uh? I am right down the mountian from you. Good luck getting it together. I probably have several water pipes if you need one.

Sorry to hear all the problems, it will work out well. Let us know when you go to the dyno since knowone seems to have any dyno numbers from this turbo yet.

Well even with the stock 2G manifold the turbo was tooo big. But honestly all that I did was bolt it on and tighten it evenly and slowly. The turbo poshed in the aluminum pipe as I tightened it. Do you have any boost creep issues. That is where my woes are. I have the BP housing that was initially set up for internal gate. And now I run an external off the O2 housing. With the flapper door completely removed and the rod removed and hole welded shut. Looks like
