Sure they'll fit, but it's probably not going to solve your problem until you get your oil pressure at the inlet as well as the undersized / kinked oil drain under control.
I fixed the kink. Now its free flowing the way it should. The inlet I'm not sure what size it is. All I know is that it is a small stainless steel feed line
 
What is an easy way to loosen the 6 turbine housing bolts without breaking any? Im about to try to change those oil rings in my hx35. But im nervous about loosening those bots. I have had the compreesor housing off but never the turbine housing. Im also not sure when the previous owner had it off
 
Should work by itself... I'd avoid heating it because you will end up heating the CHRA and possibly cooking whats inside. plus heat expands metal...

I GUARANTEE you aren't going to get the turbine/chra housing hotter with a propane hand torch than you will with your.......EXHAUST. If a glowing red-hot turbine housing won't "cook" your chra, a propane hand torch will?
There is nothing wrong with heating the turbine housing and bolts with a propane hand torch in order to separate them. Many knowledgeable people on this site and others have advocated heating the turbine housing to help pop it off the CHRA. Good luck "cooking" whats inside the chra with a small hand torch, but it can help a great deal in loosening up the bolts and housing. I've separated several hx35's like this. spray liberally with pb blaster, and tap with a hammer to work the blaster into the threads...if that doesn't work, heat is your friend.

Okay ass clown, A propane torch can in fact melt metal i dont know what kinda shitty torch you are using, pencil torch?, When your turbo isnt spinning with the engine on, it doesnt have oil going through it OR water to cool it, you can cook your shit. dont be a fu*king idiot. Plus when you heat something it expands, expanding a bolt inside of its hole, what a great way to extract it. i guarantee you a propane torch can get hotter then your EGTs will ever get.
run your turbo with no oil or coolent and let me know how the CHRA doesnt "cook"

Not saying heat wont work, i just wouldent do it. It's your turbo do what you want with it. I'd stick with solvents and force.

I always go out and do a good hard pull in the DSM before I try to break any exhaust bolts loose. I do hot torque them, so I pretty much have to. Make sure you use a copper based anti-sieze when you install any exhaust bolts. Makes it cake to remove. :thumb:

Heat does make it easier to remove. Yes, technically you should only heat the turbine housing and not the bolt, but that's nearly impossible in that cramped area, plus the bolt heats quicker than the housing anyway. However, if the bolts are difficult to remove due to rust then heat will help free them.
 
Lucky that you found one online for so cheap. I'd order another one and try again, I had the same problem when an OEM Holset ring didn't work ($105 rebuild kit) but the one from tradergreg ($45 rebuild kit) did. I wish I'd seen this thread before paying $45 for 1 oil ring, but it definitely fit better than the OEM ring.
