Holset H1e/BEP hx40 housing question

I just bought an immaculate condition Holset H1e for $150 and I want to buy a BEP bolt on housing for it, but I'm not sure if it will fit because it has the 22cm turbine housing. If it doesn't fit can I get the housing machined to accept the larger turbine? Can I use an hx40 turbine?
Any info would be appreciated.

As far as i know, the H1e is comparable to the HX40, you will have to measure the turbine blades. When you get around to installing it, it will be very similar to the http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...ercooler/443321-holset-hx40-installation.html here.

H1E/WH1E:

The Wh1e is like it's little brother the Wh1c. It mirrors the hx40 8blade in every way except that it has a v-band compressor cover and a 4bolt chra-turbinehousing pattern. It will consequently bolt into the hx40 bep bolton turbine housing and this is plenty of flow to max out its 60lb/min compressor.

The h1e is like it's little brother the h1c. There are different size compressors. . . BUT there are also different size turbine wheels too. Check measurements before buying this turbo if you plan on running a BEP turbine housing. There are lower flowing compressors than the 58mm 8blade that are out there. So this turbo may not flow any more than an hx35 if get the wrong one. You need at least a 58mm compressor inducer for this to be a worthwhile turbo vs the proven hx35 or 8blade hx40.

yes you can. find someone on here running an H1E and ask how they got the .55AR bep on there or which they used. id assume since its comparable with the HX40 that you would use an HX40 housing. But again, measure the blades.

take off the turbine housing and measure them with calipers or a micrometer.

If it has a 76/64mm turbine, the HX40 housing will fit. About 99% of H1E's out there share the same turbine as a HX40....some have a larger 76/67mm turbine.
