OK, well I searched and I checked the links that show up when you enter in the title.
I just picked up some HKS 272's (Intake & Exhaust) from a friend. I was wondering what kind of prep that I need to do to the head before I install them.
I was thinking getting a 1G head, IM & TB, port & polish, get some 3g lifters and do upgraded springs & valves. (also open to suggestions)
Would I be able to just swap out the stock cams on the 2G head?

Just do the swap. Unless there's something wrong with the head ie. oil burner, bent valves etc, you don't need to do do anything else. Doesn't hurt installing new camshaft seals if the ones on it have some mileage.
