OK, well I searched and I checked the links that show up when you enter in the title.

I just picked up some HKS 272's (Intake & Exhaust) from a friend. I was wondering what kind of prep that I need to do to the head before I install them.

I was thinking getting a 1G head, IM & TB, port & polish, get some 3g lifters and do upgraded springs & valves. (also open to suggestions)

Would I be able to just swap out the stock cams on the 2G head?

Is there anytihng that I need to get when I do them, like seals & stuff?

I really meant that. ;) Just do the swap. Unless there's something wrong with the head ie. oil burner, bent valves etc, you don't need to do do anything else. Doesn't hurt installing new camshaft seals if the ones on it have some mileage. :thumb:

PS: If you are on the stock valvetrain, keep the revs under 8,500rpm.

From what I can tell the head's in good shape, just has 97k on it. (I know what my weekend project will be if I don't get my flywheel bolts in)

I don't think I've ever taken it above 6.5k, maybe 7k on a pull :thumb:
