High and Jumpy Idle. Ideas????

Ok, so I bought a 2G Eagle Talon, and he said theres something wrong with the motor. When I started it up in the drive way, it was idling high, (sittin between 1,500 and 3,000) and when it was sitting low, I revved it, and it would studder at 3,000-5,000. It would rev up, and just stop like a fuel cut. When I drive it, I can deffi
nately notice the loss in power. Any Ideas?????

Do you mean when you hit the gas it'll studder like RPMS will bounce? AKA SURGING?

possibly a vaccuum leak? can you get a video of it, it'd help figure out what's exactly's going on

Its a little hard to explain, but it will rev up, and once it gets high, it will studder, and the rpms will drop.

my brother adjusted the idle screw so it idles at 100 in drive, and at 400-600 in park.

No, but I can get a vid of exactly what it idled like.

Except when it revs, its acts like a fuel cut at around 5K. It does this on occasion. Ideas?

I fixed it anyway foo. You should know. You drive with me.

Ya I own a 97 gst with a 20g turbo tuned apparently, and the same thing is happening with my car except it idles at around 1500-2000 RPM's and if I rev it it sometimes starts to bog down like the engine is fighting to stay running, rev it again it idles at 1500.
