high idle and bogging

ok so heres my problem when the car starts it idles at 2200.then when the car warms up the rpms keep climbing to a peak of 3200 but the problem is when i step on the gas is bogs from 3-4500 then stops(sat for a year) when i go higher...new plugs new wires i have to recheck the gap.the car has old gas in it but i put in a bunch of treatments for it seemed to help for the week then it sat for the week and did the same thing now can anyone help i want a mint dsm!

Could be several things o2 sensor, isc, tps, egr, throttle cable tension, etc. vfaq.com is the main page these links are from. There are instructions on testing all of these parameters, and you can also search these forums with the search button at the top right. Good luck

A datalogger would tell you what's wrong in a matter of seconds and will only set you back about 100 bucks. I use the OBD logger that is for sale on ebay, the best money I have ever spent on our car.
