I'm about to finish up my 6 bolt stroker in a 2G swap (DSM Forums - 6 Bolt '98 Eclipse 2.3L Build) and I just have a few questions before I can start it up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Remember, this is a 2G with a 6 bolt.

Where does the wideband O2 sensor (LC-1) go? The stock 2nd O2 sensor position after the cat? I'm running DSMLink if that helps.

Do I need to set my TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)? I have a 1G TB.

This is a 1G Throttle body on my 2G, does this sensor need to be hooked up? I can't see a connection for it.

What are these sensors for and do I need them? They are under the coolant overflow tank. I removed emissions if thats what they are for.

I can't figure out where these connections hook up. Can anyone help? Some may not be needed with the swap but if anyone could tell me what they are that would take a load of my mind.

This one is at the end of the wiring harness. It's not the crank angle sensor. Two pics.

This one comes out from behind the radiator. It's not for either fan or any headlight/sidemarker.

And lastly, I can't figure out what wires to splice my gauges into. I'm sure this is easy but I've heard different things. Do I splice them into the wires going into the ECU or into a fuse in the fuse box under the dash? Do I wire all three gauges into one wire at the same place or do I splice them all in a row on one power wire? Where is the 12v accessory power and headlight switch the instructions speak of? These are probably dumb questions but I know nothing about wiring. Here are the pictures of two of the instructions.

I don't know the answer to all of them but I will try to help.

Your wideband sensor should ideally be placed in a new bung before the flex section, after the cat will give in-accurate readings and the stock front location may be hot enough to damage the sensor.

For the throttle body, you don't need the throttle stop sensor in the picture and you should have put on all the sensors from your 2G throttle body, those are the only ones you need.

From under your overflow tank the one on the right is your Boost Control Solonoid, with DSMlink you can get rid of it without a check engine light, it also doesn't hurt to leave it plugged in with the vacuum line connections open. I don't know what the relay looking thing next to it is.

The plug near the left motor mount, possible reverse switch or maybe factory front O2 sensor.

The one at the end of the harness could be for the A/C compressor.

The one near the horn went to a solenoid on the charcoal canister.

The wire from behind the radiator might be foglight?

For your gauges I have been a fan of getting 12V power from the head unit wiring and you can get illumination power from any of the lights in the dash, I like the wiring that goes to the light around the cigarette lighter or the light for the ash tray.

This was all of the top of my head right now but I hope it helps.

That helps a lot! Thanks!

The plug near the left motor mount isn't the reverse switch or the O2 Sensor. Both of those are connected. This one goes into the wiring harness under the fuse box.

The one at the end of the harness isn't for the AC. That one is already connected. Unless there are two but I don't think there are.

Charcoal canister and foglights sounds right. Good to know! Not bad for off the top of your head. :thumb:

Just ran out and peaked at my car, the one by the left mount is for the cruise control and the one at the end of the harness went to smog equipment that bolted to the intake manifold.

the relay that is referenced in your picture affects your ignition somehow, I have tried disconnecting it before myself but the car will not run without it, so make sure to leave it connected. The boost control solenoid can be capped off and leave the harness connected. Hope this helps
