Ok so i have a 90' talon tsi. i just started having problems tonight under normal driving conditions. the car drives fine and idles fine but when i come to a stop and get ready to start going again i push the clutch in and the car falls on its face.....stalls out completely....i have absolutely no idea whats going on. if anybody has any ideas id be very greatful!

What kind of scan? So far what ive been told is a possible balance shaft issue....needless to say its barked till this gets fixed.

From what ive gathered it may be one of four things.....iacv, tb, tps, and or balance shaft....thoughts?

When exactly does it die, Only when you push the clutch in to put it in gear?
Or anytime you let it try to idle?

If it dies when rpms drop (clutch push in) likely something in the idle circuit isn't right. You didn't state any recent work etc so I would guess there are several possibilities
New vacuum leak, hose cracked etc
Biss blew out of the throttle body (creating new leak)
ISC motor has died.
Those aren't the only possibilities but you didn't give very much information
Does car run correcctly? Did you test anything at all? If it idles does it cycle? What RPM does it idle? Is the ISC set correctly? How do you know? have you ever check the ecu for leaking caps? Are they leaking now?
If you're not familiar with what I'm saying you'll need to do a little research. The first few items should be checked, especially the base idle speed screw (biss) on the throttle body.

Car idles at roughly 850-900rpm....vents to atmosphere but is running a gm blowthrough maf. i believe my biggest fear was avoided....someone mentioned a possible balance shaft issue but i checked the oil and there was no metal shavings....the problem just came out of nowhere. and yes no recent work done and no vaccum leak to my knowledge. car idles fine and when its driving it drives fine. its just when i push the clutch in and it doesnt instantly cuttoff it falls in its face and runs out of rpm....hope that helps

I would pull the iacv and clean it well and reinstall it. It could have some carbon on it making it slow so it wont' move fast enough to keep the idle right when you push in the clutch.
