I cleaned the throttle body today to see if i could get rid of the stickyness when applying the throttle, but when I did it seemed to have gotten worse!?!?!?!? Now it sticks so bad that you have to spike the throttle to open it then adjust your foot from there... Anyone else have this problem or one similar?? Any suggestions??  It almost seems like the throttle plate is sticking inside the actual throttle body...

Good ol fashion carb cleaner never did me wrong. What did you use and how did you apply it?

I used carb cleaner and a actual throttle cleaning brush i jacked from my work (Toyota Dealer) it is like a cotton ball on the end of a little stick. I sprayed the cleaner onto the brush then applied that to the body and plate.

Have you checked your throttle plate actuator cable to see if it is properly adjusted? Maybe it is too lose. There is an adjustment screw there.

Did you clean up any and all residual gunk or residue after letting the cleaner do its thing?

yea I cleaned it up very well... i would adjust the cable but I think it will still do it because if you go to the throttle body and open it there with the spring and all that, it still sticks, mainly if you open it then let it shut itself, that is how it gets stuck...

Can you see whether there's adequate clearance for the TB plate to open and close freely?

Okay, I just want to thank "Rice over Wheat" You were right! There was alot of slack in the throttle cable so I adjusted that and ensure proper clearance of the throttle plate to the interior of the throttle body, adjusted the closed throttle switch and WAH LAH LOL Thanks for the help guys. Another problem solved! :)
