Alright, i bought my 97 gst about a month ago. I made the mistake of buying it and taking responsibility for smog as well. Long story short, i cannot get the readiness monitors to set to ready. Ive researched all over and found either 1. Have satan temporarily set them and go smog for a big fee. 2. i heard you can switch out the ECU for like a 99.

My question is this. I am bidding on a ECU that has been tuned by Ceddymods Ver 1.9b. The mods state

No Fuel Cut / Boost Cut
Readiness Test Fix
5 Knocksum Per Division Knock Gauge
Knock Mil @ 05 Knocksum
7500 rpm Rev Limiter
3500 rpm Stutterbox Launch Rev Limiter
1000 rpm Idle
11.0:1 Openloop afr Targets
91 Octane Timing Maps
560cc Evo Injectors / .48us Deadtime
Stock 43 psi Base Fuel Pressure.

So i know my readiness monitors will officially be fixed, but will i have any other problems with my car installing this edu? I asked the guy selling and the only thing he said that i may have a problem with is the injectors. He said that the edu is set up for the EVO 3 560cc injectors, and that with my stock injectors it may allow too much fuel in them causing a rough idle and in the end damaging the stock injectors. Do you think this will happen or no? Im just trying to get my readiness monitors on, and i thought it would be nice to have these as an extra bonus. The bid ends tomorrow, and i am currently highest bidder..so hopefully i did not screw myself over on this one :/

Thank you all for you help!

Well yes running 450cc injectors (stock) with an ecu flashed for 560cc injectors will likely cause problems. The global fuel and deadtime settings will be different between the 450cc injectors and 560cc injectors. I would not recommend doing that. How are you checking your readiness monitors? I have had multiple 97 ecu's keep telling me monitors are not ready after thousands of miles and I used different scan tools to read the monitor status and finally took to get emissions tested and they all passed as ready. The scan tools still said they are not ready. So just saying that happened to me with multiple 97 ecu's and could just be a common problem. Did you get an emissions test and fail for monitors not ready?

yes, i took the car in multiple times and the readiness monitors are not setting. i bought a carmd for home so i can check periodically to see if they set, but still haven't. Since smog is due this month i am panicking. :/ i do not want to pay $300 plus for satan to set the monitors. I was hoping this ECU would do the trick. Im screwed. :/
