Still working out the kinks on an evoiii install and slowboy fmic

The return line started leaking at the gasket. Not only that it was kinking a bit so I thought I'd shorten it. Ok, so I was gonna put some RTV on the oil return line gasket and on the threads of the screw itself like defiant showed when I searched.. I took it off and it's fine. To get rid of the kink I cut about 1/2 inch off the tube and pushed the fitting in further thinking this would get rid of the kink. Uh-oh, now it's not long enough to reach around the oil pan without kinking even more. My conclusion: extremePSI's oil return line sucks balls. It's either too long and kinks or too short and can't reach around. I only cut less than half an inch off too. Ok so whatever I figure I'll just let it kink a bit worse until I get a new one. So I go to bolt on the hex's after I've sealed the gasket with RTV, but the left screw doesn't catch anymore. I tried for 2 hours, even just the screw to the oil pan and it won't thread. Of course the old T25 return line won't fit on the turbo. LAME! Now I'm really stuck. I'm guessing I'll have to get those two holes re-tapped, not to mention I have to find another return line that will fit a 16g. What should I do? I leave for college in 3 days!! What should I do?

the stock line will fit, you have to file the holes closer. sounds like you'll have to drop the oil pan and retap the threads, weld a nut on the other side, or just buy a new oil pan

If you want shavings in the pan....

I would drop the pan.. Retap and run a stud...

I run studs... Have'nt had problems....

what would cause that left hole to lose the thread? After working on it some more I'm able to get the screw in about 2-3 turns. Is there still hope? The only thing I can think of is maybe some silicone got in the hole? If so, what gets rid of RTV sealant?

Get a chaser tap and slowly ease it in there... Different than a cutting tap..

1/4 turn in then 1/4 out, then 1/2 turn in 1/4 out untill its thru...

well I don't know what either of those are so it looks like I'm gonna get a professional to do this. It's possible to rethread without getting shavings into the tank though, correct? Problem is it's REALLY difficult to work down there, hopefully someone will have a lift.
