Alright i need some ideas, i got a 1g talon tsi fwd, my front 2 big bolts for the cross member which contains the lower motor mount are kinnda blown out. I have one bolt holding it up in front, the other, twisted out, the one that is holding it up, is also twisting but holding. Now, i put a new oil return line on and a week after driving i noticed its cracked again and blowing out oil like its nothing. My idea is the motor is moving too much which is flexing the line conssitantly which is making it crack. I need some better motor mounts/bushings for all the mounts on the 4g63, i need to know where i can get some. Second, i need to know what to do about the front of the crossmember. I thought about drilling some new holes and tapping them but they are pretty big bolts and theirs really not much more of my frame left in that area to do that. I also thought of making a rod of some sort to lay across the front of the member to hold it up. I just want to see what u guys can come up with also i want to know if theirs a stronger line available for the stock turbo. P.S. I rigged up my own return line with my old flanges and some pvc hose and clamps, figured it would work but its still leaking. HELP!

I am going to try to cover most/all of your questions:

There are a couple of approches you can take to stiffen your motor mounts. One which you could go the route of Prothane Polyurathane mounts. Which are very nice, I love mine. You can get prothane mounts from pretty much any one of the sites sponsors. Another apporach you could take is to fill them with window weld, polyurathe, any typed or polyurathane caulking.

Prothane Mounts:

Here's another method:

As far as your stripped out cross member/engine mount bolts: I am sure you could run a longer bolt and a nut through the existing hole to boltdown the cross member and motor mount.

Stronger oil drain lines can be found from the sites sponsers also:

There are two examples of something you could get.

Good Luck--Dave

Starting to get pissed. Replaced with brand new return line, straight from dealer. Used grade 8 bolts nuts washers to hold up the crossmember, works great. Replaced bad lower mount with brand new mount. Drove it for 2 days, the SOB broke again, i have now rigged up my own return line like the "aftermarket" ones and will see if it works, for how long, who the hell knows, College starts tomorrow, of course my car works great all summer and Now it decideds to suck. Any grand ideas would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks,
Jason
