my new motor will not pump any oil i have hand pumped oil in the turbo feed in the ofh trying to prime it. but when i turn it over with out the plugs in it it still will not pump any oil.

Did you pack the oil pump with grease or petrol jelly? This helps prime the oil pump so it doesn't dry start. You could Also try taking the timing belt loose and spinning the oil pump sprocket with a drill to see if it starts pumping oil.

My brand new longblock didn't move any oil to the head by cranking without the plugs, it had me very worried...Well come to find out that is normal with these motors ask English Racing or Buschur motors. If you properly assembled everything with assembly lube then the new motor can be run for a few minutes before it will suffer badly. I would try to start that thing up and if you have no oil pressure after 10 seconds then you will need to shut it down instanly and find out why.

Exactly agree to the last two posters.
If you used assembly lube, and packed the pump full of grease, just start it up and oil pressure will shoot up very quickly. Assembly lube is made to keep parts lubricated for a long time. More harm than good is done when pulling plugs and cranking forever waiting for oil to reach the head anyway.

I cranked on it for probebly 10sec it a time i had a air hose on the turbo feed and it will push oil out of the lifters but then when you crank it no oil is being pumped. and no i did not pack the pump with grease. i just put some oil in it.

at first i had the oil cooler line lose and it was dry no oil so i dont think it is pumping any thing. i may try to start it and see if it starts to pump. and if not i guess it's time to take it apart o joy.

Oh don't think that way :|

Did you have assembly lube everywhere? As long as you do, it won't cause any damage starting it up and checking if it has oil pressure or not. I'd give it a good 5 seconds before shutting it down.

Maybe disconnect the clutch safety switch while your at it (so you don't have to hit the clutch pedal to start)

same thing was happening to me after putting the motor together  I pumped oil through the oil pressure sender as I learned from a post here on dsmtuners I am pretty sure it did helped to get oil in, but after a while from cranking the motor the oil light was not turning off , so I went ahead and I started the motor and started to build pressure right away light turn off after like 2 seconds

The engine will never make enough pressure while cranking it over with the starter to make the light turn off. The engine doesn't spin fast enough. There is oil being pumped thru the engine though.

i had the oil cooler line lose and not a drop of oil would come out and i had the turbo feed off coming from the ofh no oil came out. and i had the old turbo feed plug out of the head no oil would come. but i had a air hose on the turbo line on the ohf and oil came out of the lifters but when you crank it still nothing

First off oil will not come from the oil cooler lines until the thermostat in the housing is up to a certain temp. The air cooled housings have a thermostat in them that keeps the oil from flowing thru the cooler until a certain temp is reached. Second off you are not cranking on it long enough to get the oil to pump with volume to the top end. Most of the oil is just going to the bottom end and coming out from between the crankshaft and bearings. The last thing is that every time you blow air into the oil line you are pushing the oil back into the bottom of the engine, and you are taking the chance of contaminating the oil passages with debris from the air line.

ok tomorrow i will crank on it longer and see if any thing will come out. or i may try to start it.

I had NO OIL coming out of my turbo oil feed line when I cranked mine, it's normal. When you start it up the oil pressure will build. If not after 10 seconds then shut it down.

Like I said start it up.

If you keep cranking on that thing you could do some damage.

Just start the car. You won't get any/much pressure just cranking it. You'll have it about 2 seconds after starting it though.

Lot of good info being given to you here, just take their advice. The starter does not turn the motor fast enough to build that much pressure.

so i went ahead and tried starting it with no exhaust no o2 no map or iat and it started up sounds good and guess what it has oil pressure.

anyone ever do an oil change........ Guess what: the pressure takes a second to build up!!! LOL, its perfectly normal
