I'm about to start building my motor and I want to try for around 600 hp
Bottom end I have manley 8.5 to 1 and going to run eagle rods and arp mains
Head mls head gasket don't know which one 1mm os valves bc springs and retainers cams thinking 280 bc help me decide
Jmk intake
Want to run e85 dont know what size injectors to use
Need help on a clutch car will only see street in summer lil use mainly drag racing any input to make my hp goals are appreciated I have a turbo its a no name think exhaust is .48 or .50 and compressor .63 thinking I'm gona run 25psi going to run dsm link also thanks for any help

6 blade moves more ai bt at a higher boost.. The lager the turbin housing the easie it will to be tomae big numebrs up top

I'mrunnin an 8 blade HX40/35 hybrid that i machined a garrett T3 turbine housingto hold the CHRA, my power is near the 500 mark but i've been plagued with gremlins from regular ARP studs stretching at this boost level.. (only 30psi but lots of airflow, the 8 moves less total but will move more at lower boosts that the 6 blades will)

look at the holsets results only thread, there's lots of info and idas for a budget high HP setup there (these turbos really are the dime store dictators, they make amazing power for what you spend on them)

So if I want to run like 35 psi the 6 blade would be better and .63 a/r or bigger I still want it to spool kind of fast

I have a turbo, it is good for the hp you want with e85 and is dsm flanged. It is in good shape but, it is laggy as it spooled up around 4500 on my 2.3L laser and put down 305 with a maft @ 18 or so psi. I have put a green on the car to compliment it better as the turbo was too big for the motor for what I am using it for.

It has a 62mm inducer and 76mm exducer with 7 blades. It has a precision 60-1 turbo compressor housing and has an sc61 or 62 turbine blade in it. From what I have looked up about it (being a hybrid) it is good for around 580 to 680hp with boost in the 30+psi range. It may be too laggy for what you want though.

Pte6262 is a great street/strip turbo, I put down 575@34 lbs n ran a 10.96 with a full interior car, you can look at my profile for my build list.

Would the HX40 with t4 twin scroll .84 A/R or hx40 6 blade .63 a/r be better our that with .48 a/r

That gives me high hope because my setup is pretty identical to yours and I'm looking for the same numbers. 6262 is a good choice for a turbo.

Yup I'm still on pump gas with meth, n stock throttle body too.

For turbo I decided a hx40 6 blade with a t3 divided manifold .68 a/r is a cometic hg any good and should I not use arp head bolts?

And I'm just starting to look into what about building it into a 2.3 stroker

I had the same problem as he did above 33 psi. Cometic HG & ARPs are great products, but they have their limitations as we have found. The cylinder pressures start getting extreme and the head lifts under the pressure and the bolts stretch. (I recently read a thread about other things happening to, but I can't remember what)

People turn to other things like O-ringing the head or block and getting A1 or L19 studs. Fel-Pro Permatorque & L19s is the combo some people running really high boost have had great results with, so I am going that route myself...

Ok I'll look into those whats your opinion on building a 2.3 with wiseco pistons 8.8 cr eagle our manley rods and eagle crank

Don't waste your money on the crank! Our cranks have been pushed well over the HP you want.

I don't know much about stroker motors, except you will spool a bigger turbo quicker and have more torque. The guy I was referring to earlier has a 2.3 with 10.5:1 pistons running E-85 he is in the high 9s with an auto...

If you have barely used pistons in good shape and a 6 bolt block & crank then I would build a 2.0 with either of the rods you mentioned. But maybe some guys with 2.3L will chime in and help you decide on that.

If I went with the 2.3 id prob get a bigger turbo then mentioned maybe that t4 divided think it was a .83a/r and only way I'd get the eagle crank is if I do the 2.3

Reason I've been asking I do have a buddy that helped me build my motor and he talked about a 2.3 but said there were hard to build and very expensive but I've noticed there not to much more then a normal build and this guy also has kind of held me back on power which at the time I didn't care because I was making decent power for a dd smd now its not gona be a dd so I want a build that will blow him away that he'd never expect and not be able to tell by looking at it plus I'm ready for more power even though he still talking s**t saying he could build a car to kill mine because I was talking about the 3 piece chromoly front bars and a chromoly mustache bar and coilovers

Haha then make it a 2.3 and throw some 10.5:1 pistons in there. :sneaky: You will def HAVE to run E-85! Its not that hard to build a 2.3, just more expensive than a 2.0 since you already have pistons.

There is probably more things to consider cause it will be torquier. Like lower redline than 2.0, you'll need a good clutch set-up that won't slip with higher torque. Other stuff IDK about :p I'm not very up to speed on builds like this, but they are out there and I am sure you can find as much info as you need on the forum.

FWIW, I run 9:1 CR and 60% E-85. I am able to get 22* peak timing and 35 psi boost with no real tuning issues and very little knock. If I had larger inj and didn't have to drive 100 miles to get E-85, I would run 100% myself! I've got the head off the car right now and my pistons show no signs of detonation. Except for some carbon that easily rubs off with seafoam, they are shiny like new! Very happy so far, except I could have went with higher CR...

Ya e -85 its a deff with either build build 2.3 all I need is a stroker crank my 4g63 block rods and stroker pistons right other then the rest of normal engine build stuff and I'll prob run stock redline or 7000 shift

Think I've got my setup
Eagle 100mm crank
Wiseco 8.8 cr pistons
Manley h-beam rods
1mm o.s. Valves
Manley springs
280 bc cams does anyone know if this head would clear the pistons
Jmf intake manifold
Dsm link
Arp mains
L19s head bolts
Permatorque felpro hg
Custom t4 divided manifold
HX40 with T4 twin scroll .84 A/R from black_gst

What you guys think on this and power rating 30-40 psi

Most likely going to try to run twin disc clutch

Anyone try a Hyundai cylinder head on a stroker. They have 43cc chambers which would bump up the cr even more I think its either the 1.8 or 1.6 one is same as a1g runner size.
