Sarnia,
Guys, I have a problem. I started and drove my car into town this morning, no problem at all. Get in it to leave work today... sorta started once REALLY HIGHT IDLE (3000 rpm or so), shut it off, tried to start again, then flooded out. Cant communicate with the ECU via dsmlink and I KNOW for a fact it was working fine last night when the car was running well.. Took the ECU apart and seen a burn mark on the board... Was wondering if you guys could take a look and see what you think?
Not sure whether im barking up the wrong tree or not.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.

In my opinion that to me looks like a leaking capacitor and eventually it will eat away at the board and the components on it until the ECU fails. Looks like its time to give Dave or Tom a call and get that ECU repaired.

That's exactly what it is. The ECU still has the original capacitors and now they are leaking.
Time to get them replaced and any damage repaired. It's not a burn mark, just the corrosion cause by the leakage.

They don't usually quit with this little damage but there may be more that I can't see in that picture.
