Hey everyone. I recently got a good deal on a 14b and I'm looking to get a FMIC with it. I found 3 on Ebay that I think look pretty good and I was wanting some help choosing. Here they are.
1: Eclipse Talon 95-99 4G63 2G Intercooler Piping Kit +BOV | eBay

2:eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

3:2G ECLIPSE/TALON BOLT ON BAR&PLATE FRONT MOUNT ALUMINUM INTERCOOLER KIT PIPING | eBay

Notice #1 and #2 are very similar except number #1 has more piping. I'd like to get the least amount of piping possible but the price difference is pretty big.

Their intercooler looks very similar to link 3. But the ebay one is like $40 less. Is it basically the same? Hard to install? I don't want to have to hack too much of my bumper up if any at all.

Well what do you think about link 1? I have a few cxracing parts right now (SMIC piping and aluminum radiator) and I'm pretty impressed with them. A lot of people say ebay FMIC are just fine. Link 1 looks nice and decently cheap.

There are vrsf fmic there is also a punishement racing fmic and also a ssautochrome fmic. Those be the best standard compelete kit you can get for cheap. If you looking for qaulity there are ETS fmic kit's and well other brands but if I was to spend my money I love quality and work of ets fmic, pricey but you get for what you pay for.

I have the 3rd one. Requires some modifications to the chassis, but fairly easy install. The thing is massive though...

EDIT: Assuming it's the same core as mine, it will require significant bumper trimming.

Does it mount up pretty easy? And how did the piping fit? Are you saying it's too big? When I get my fuel pump in I'll be running around 16psi on the 14b and will be upgrading to a E316G later on.

Get a vrsf fmic or ssautochrome or punishement racing fmic. They all need a little work to fit but they are perfect for you and prices are good. They usally go on sale alot so shop around. Save up for ecmlink for upping boost.:thumb:

Well I wouldn't push it any higher than 16psi on a 14b before being able to log. I'm not gonna get the 16g and keep upping the boost. LOL. I'll be cautious about it until I can afford ecmlink.

Do you have a 1G or 2G? I have a FMIC with piping that I was about to put up an ad for. It comes with a Genuine Greddy BOV too!
