i got a 98 gsx and im looking into upgrading the turbo i want a turbo that is on the small side but can boost up to 20 to 30 pounds of boost...i also dont want to break the bank...any idea's?

I see it hard to beleive nobody mentioned the FP big t28..It flows aboutt he same as a small 16g and offers great spool..And for the 2g guys it does require an install kit.. More pricey than a used 16g..But still a hell of a turbo..

Forced Performance Turbochargers: DSM FP Big 28 Turbo

Actually the FB B28 flows more than a small, or Big 16G, and flows slightly less than an E3 16G.

E3 16g 550CFM
FP B28 530CFM
B16g 505 CFM

Is your car stick, or Auto. if it's an Auto, and you want ease of installation, and quick response from the turbo, an FP B28 is about the easiest. It Spools damn quick, and requires Basic Mods to run well. 190 LpH pump, 550cc injectors at a minimum, and a way to Tune.

No install kit required.
Fits like Stock, exactly like stock
Very Streetable
I've had one for Years, and I love it.
easily holds 21-25 Psi to redline.
