HELP cant get nuts on back of intake. PICTURE

So not much more of a update, as it seemed like everything I touched I dropped, or broke grrrrrr. But anyway here are some more pictures guys, enjoy

I modified the Water pipe because I have DELETED the heating sourse because I wanted a much cleaner engine bay. I felt the hoses and whatnot, just made it ugly. Yes heat is nice, but in Florida you really dont need it even on the cold mornings.

And this is how I finished my day. I'm not even going to stress how NOT so easy this was to do. Lots of grinding and cutting ect.

And this is the back of my intake manifold. Yes I have 3 bolts that I can not get a nut onto, because the stud rest so close to the runners :-/. Now I need to figure out how im going to address this issue

Is it catching side to side? If its the fact you cant fit the nut in there on the bolt back the mani off a little start the nut than lower it back down to tighten. Tightening it up is going to be the big issue due to clearance around it. Maybe try a thinner nut for the side to side clearance if that is an issue but seems like it shouldnt be but than again its not in front of me just a pic.

Is there any way you can loosen all the other bolts and slide the intake off just enough to get the nuts started?
 
This manifold give NO play, and I had to actually use the top nuts to pull the intake on. I didnt want to beat it on or anything. I thought about drilling the holes bigger, but its for a 6 bolt so it should have slid right on. I think judging by the picture myself, Im going to try to loosen up the top nuts, and see if I can pull the intake up a hair, but the TB is already hitting my firewall. Yes this thing is monster

You look like your going to have a problem there. The post above me is the best idea yet: alllen bolts. REmove the studs and go with allen bolts. You dont seem to have an option. Wouldnt you think the designers of that IM would have thought of something so important?? Anyway, GL, and again, beautiful car.
 
No I want to figure out a solution without having to take it back off. I'm telling you, there's no room to do this. If I have to take it off, the best thing is pull motor no joke
 
Your best option is allen head bolts as already stated. You won't find a nut small enough to get on there and be able to get a wrench or socket on there. There is no need to pull the engine, you can easily unbolt the side and front engine mount and pull the engine forward a bit for a bit more clearance.

The only other option that i can think of is a cylindrical nut, but they are kind of pricey and it's hard to say if they would not be too big in diameter also.

Sounds easy enough but as I said before, I know you cant actually tell in the pic, but the TB is actually butt tight up against the firewall, and you can barely get your fingers behind the intake by itself. When I was installing (WHICH WAS NOT FUN), I had to remove everything out of my way, plus re-bend my break lines. There will be no room to rock this motor forward :-(. I am listening to everyones opinion and I thank everyone. All Im sayin, is this intake for the love of god, will not just come off. I had to pull it in, with the use of the top 3 nuts and the side nuts. She is a tight fit

You can in fact rock the engine forward. The mounts hold it in place, without them it moves Unbolt the front and driver side mount and it will give you a few inches of room.

And I got your image. We were looking at these yesterday at the hardware store.
 
Here are some options; the reduced shank stud will definitely work..
The allen head, 12 point, and the 12mm hex are almost exactly the same..The allen head being maybe 1/16 smaller...The reduced shank nut is 10mm....The 12point hex is from the Extreme PSIs exhaust stud set...
