There are 4 that I cant get to seat on the valve stem seat because the cam lobe is faced directly downward... Is it okay if I rotate the crank manually to move the lobe out of the way?

That's why I told you to make sure it was rotated correctly and to only do the ones closed, so nothing gets in the way! But i think you should be fine rotating were you need to, just go slow and make sure you don't feel anything binding up.
. I have to figure this out and get everything put together, with the VC on, prime, and go for a cruise before I can sleep :/
. I'm doing alittle search for ya but I'm pretty sure your fine rotating it. I believe without the rocker arm and lifter in the valve won't open so it can't hit anything right?
