Im replacing the whole arm and ive tried that I have these huge pry bars and wedged it in between the ball joint and wacked at it and nothing...

Had the same exact problem about a week ago with a ball joint. Heat that sob up nice and hot with MAP or propane, and hit it with a hammer. (3 pounds and up) Some of these are very stubborn, especially if they haven't been changed for a long time. It took me almost an entire day to get mine off. Persistence is the key.

I had this problem. Get a touch and heat the spindle part for a couple of minutes and than try to hit it off again. Worked like a charm with me.

+1 for that method, heat helps a lot and works 80% of the time. Use some heat a hammer and a pickle fork!

Sweet guys thanks. Can I just use a torch like this one?

Butane Micro Torch
Ehh, those don't last very long, and depending on how stuck that joint is you might need something that can stay on for more than an hour. I suggest going to Advanced/Oreily's and getting either a MAP tank (yellow canister), or a propane tank (blue canister). Don't forget to buy the burner tip while you're there. All together it will probably cost you 10 bucks more than that micro torch, but they'll last you much much longer.

+2 heat works everytime:thumb: and a bfh

Home depot, lowes, aces will stock them as well. Spend the extra cents and get the big bottle.
