Hello, I am new into the :dsm: DSM :dsm: world(GIANT N00B ;) . I have always been into cars, but never actually got under the hood and worked on them, I have started doing simple things but now I want to learn more and plan on persuing this into a career. I want to know if there is anywhere online or anything that I could read to teach or aid me to rebuild a motor or anyone in the area who could help. I live in Sterling Heights, Michigan. My idea was to buy a block and a head and rebuild it. IMO this would be the most affordable way because I am on a tight budget. Also, I was wondering the best affordable place where I could find the parts, (Head, block, shell, and engine kit) I have been looking on dsmtrader.com but I don't really know what I am looking for. Thanks for your time and help. I appericate it. If you have AIM you can contact me at iCeD OuT AnDYy.

Thanks
-Andy

There are a number of books out there that can teach you the in depth stuff on rebuilding engines (they actually have a whole for dummies series on engines). As for parts and the such, take a look at mitsubishi graveyard, your local junkyards, stuff like that.

Search around on the web for rebuild kits ala: http://store1.yimg.com/I/machv_1813_37546897
