ok i have a 94 talon with 2.0 non turbo.
if im sitting still and put in 1st it grinds into gear. but if im moving and coming to a stop and put it into 1st it diesnt grind. they kid i boight it from says it started doing it after he put in a new clutch.

and alkso the car idles pretty high. and i found some vacume lines that were plugged up and not running anywhere. could that be why?

Yes Improperly run or improperly capped lines can cause a few problems. As for the transmission. There are several things you want to look at. I would start by measuring the clutch pedal height and free play. If both are in spec stop there. If not adjust the pedal height and free play to spec. After you bring that into spec or if it is already in spec move on on to the clutch master cyl. Inspect it for leaks and that there is fluid in it and the fluid is at the correct level. If that all looks good move onto the slave cylinder and clutch fork. If the clutch fork is very near or after the center line square that surrounds it you may need to remove the clutch fork to shim the ball joint. Check to make sure that your slave cyl when compressed will automatically decompress. If it does not your master cyl is not allowing the self adjusting feature to operate. If all that looks good check the linkage itself for damage. It may have been improperly adjusted or the wrong bracket's were used to install the cables. It could be one of a combination of these things. Or the transmission itself is failing. Good luck and welcome. In the future at least make an attempt to give more detail about your issue and use proper spelling etc etc.

how do you adjust the clutch? i have heard a few people say that could be the problem

oh and what are the specs?.....thank you
