Something not working right, help asap

I made a thread a little while back about my car sputtering and its gotten much worse. It will spit and sputter when you are accelerating and any rate more than "normal" and it usually stopes at about 3k. It will not do it at higher speeds, if im traveling and downshift and get on it it stutters and spits and has backfired a few times. The check engine light has come on once and blinked a few times, i used a computer to scan it and its said it was a misfire in cylender 4, i checked it and the plug was only turned in half way, i put the plug in and it seemed to work fine for a while, but now its back with a vengence, its doint the same as above. I have checked all the plugs and there fine. I am hoping its either wires or the coil. Does anyone have any ideas on what this would be. Oh and the check engine light came back on today, i cleared it the first time it came on. I really need help. Thanks,

Did you check the resistance of the plug wires to make sure they are in spec? If you dont have a shop manual, I would definatly get one. Its a great investment.

Did you check the gap on the plugs? I'd just throw in a brand new set. You can't beat a $5 solution. If it doesn't take care of it, then move on to the more expensive possibilities.

edit: check what those codes are again and post 'em!

how do i check what they are? If your talking about the scanner then it was code p0304. Said it was a misfire in cylender 4.
