Heater Core hose access

Any recomendations for getting to the hose clamp that is against the firewall. I have to come at the screw that holds it from the right side of the engine bay and I can't get any angle whatsoever on the screw. Not to mention its all rusty

Have you tried a small ratchet and socket to loosen it? I believe the heads of those screws are an 8mm.
