2G Headliner Recovered

spent the afternoon removing, stripping, sanding, and recovering the headliner in the eagle today. still need trimmed up and the appropriate hole cut, but waiting on glue to dry up

3m headliner adhesive. spray it on, let it sit a minute to get good and tacky, then good to go.

while they do make foam backed headliner felt you can buy, it seemed to only come in solid colors. i wanted to go with something patterned for more of a custom look. the material i selected and used is 80% polyester and 20% spandex (picture a thick yoga pant material). is has some stretchiness to it which allows forgiveness during install, which i highly recommend unless you have experience doing headliners. . i just went to the local joann fabrics and picked out something i liked and went from there, although i will say i'd try to stay away from linear patterns or plaids unless you're confident you can lay it straight and keep the pattern true.
