Just bought this thing and there is no headliner at all. No dome light. And it looks like there's still a button for the sunroof tho. Been looking for a headliner board with no luck. And I don't even know what else I am missing there are a few connections on both sides that need to be hooked up. So what am I missing and what are my options???

I believe the connection in the first picture goes to the light in the sun visors if thats what they're called.(little flip down things LOL) I don't have them anymore so I don't remember and i believe the second pic is for the dome light. I think you'll just need the board, visors, dome light and maybe the little clothes hanger clips if you want those. Good luck!

Dome lights on Sunroof cars are built into the mirror. You will need:

  • Headliner board, upholstered
  • Driver and passenger side sun visors, with lit mirrors
  • Clips for driver and passenger visors
  • Sunroof switch bezel
  • Sunroof manual crank
  • headliner clips (little plastic clips that hold the sunroof up on each corner)
  • hatch-edge trim

Manual crank?

I'm looking for the board and can't find one!

Try JNZtuning.com. They can get almost anything. It might be more coast effective. Mine is falling apart and I was thinking about re doing it and all of the articles imply that the fabric still ends up falling off.

the headliner in my car was made of a very brittle and fragile styrofoam with fabric glued on, it broke taking it out.. stockinteriors.com has headliner material but you will have to find something to glue it to, maybe make your own board using some moldable plastic

As far as foam and fabric goto a craft store like jo anns fabric. U can get foam and fabric thier, then goto a parts store and get the spray glue for headliners thier, its in a spray can.

The connector in your first pic I believe powers the homelink system that would be embedded in the driver's side visor. It essentially links to garage doors and can be programmed to operate them.

Same issue here with my hard top gsx. I'm just gonna carefully remove the head linner and coat the back side with fiberglass resin and the reapolster the other side.

Would this work? I remember when I redid mine its already a PITA to get the factory one out. It had to be bent in a light U shape to pull out the back, because the liftgate opening is narrower than the headliner.

If it does work ill have to try it out, if I ever have to pull mine again. Because with the sunroof hole in my headliner, it collapsed in on the re install and i thought i ruined it. But the sunroof trim still holds it up nicely and you can't tell it folded in like 4 places around the sunroof hole.

Right on the money there..:thumb:

Its a taller opening than it is wide, that's why you lay the seats down . To tilt the headliner and take ot out.unless u want to take the windshield out. But I don't see why unless the glass is busted.

Can you not find a good headliner or you can't find one (good or bad) period? If you can go to a junk yard and buy a ruined one then go to a fabric store and buy a roll of foam. Then just spray mount it.
