Head Studs, and Head Bolts.

How many times do you plan on pulling your head? Many people have reused arp studs without measuring them. I doubt you're going to stretch them out of spec on a n/a car unless you overtorque them.

That's one of the benefits of using ARP studs... you can reuse them multiple times. Race engineers use them to reduce the thread wear on the block from frequent head gasket changes. As long as you do not overtorque them, they will not stretch.

Well the Reason why is because I've had very bad luck with Head Gaskets and just Engine Heads in General.

Right now I'm just trying to get the motor done and in the car because I need a car again, but I plan on doing some mods in the near future after that that involve taking the head off, and I'd like to save me some money. Especially if my 4g63 Jumps timing again, I can just go in, swap out the valves and head gasket and be set to go.

Thanks for the Positive Feed back by the way.

I'd find out why your 4g63s are jumping timing so frequently first - that's not a problem I've ever ran into on these motors, and I've worked on quite a few of them. Something's got to be happening for you to have such bad luck with the timing components. The ARP's will do what you need them to do, which is take away the expense of purchasing head bolts each rebuild. However, I'd work on determining why your timing system is so unreliable... that's a problem you shouldn't have.

actually I've personally never had a 4g63 jump on me, because I've never owned one LOL. I've just had my share of blown head gaskets with a few cars lately and id hate having to buy head bolts.

I'm actually swapping out my 4g37 for a 4g63.

only reason I'm concerned about it jumping timing is I've heard about it happening quite a bit, and the motor I bought for 100$ had jumped timing.

(By the way I just have to put my valve springs in, and hone the cylinders and I will start putting it back together.)
