2G Head install question

I know this might sound dumb but after getting head back from shop and finishing motor when I go to put them together do I need to know where the shop set head up on what stroke so don't bend a Valve when I turn motor or is that what timing marks for. I know what they do but just didn't know if it changed when u have work done to block an head.

Both cam sprocket dowel pins up at 12 o'clock and engine timing marks lined up (crank, oil pump, front balancer shaft).

Leave the bottom end pistons at half mass when torquing the head down, insert your plastic cam gear piece after setting your dowels at 12 O clock THEN set your crank/pistons at TDC. I bent 2 intake valves on my current motor initially because I torqued the head down with piston 1 and 4 at TDC, yes it’s embarrassing to admit especially because this was my second engine rebuild, but anyways use common sense

These are interference engines so everything must be in perfect time. Take your time, go slow, ask questions so that all turns out good.
