Has anyone added a provision for a Sub belt before?

Looking for anyone who has ever cut a slot in a seat and added a sub belt slot like this:

I am looking at a set of seats for the street and the most street friendly seats I can find that allow enough clearance for my cage are the braum/ Corbeau rrs / whatever other people rebrand that seat. Only issue with that is they do not come with a sub slot and for whatever reason, corbeau explicitly states that they cannot add a provision to this seat in the description at the this link:

I have never personally messed with one of these before but I fail to see why one cant be added to any seat. I guess my main concern is if I cut a hole I'd like the seat material not to split in that location over time. So basically if anyone has any input feel free to comment. Thank you.

Not that you want to, but i believe NHRA allows you to just run the anti sub belt over the front of the seat if your seat doesn't have a slot. That's how mine is done on my stock seat. I don't especially like it, but it's how it is till I get a different seat.

Unfortunately that's looking like it may be how I have to do it. I am going to have 2 sets of seats no doubt but just for the security I'd like to have it. Good to hear its not 100% required though.
