Hahn Compressor Housing

How do you take the hahn housing off? Is it a snap ring or what?

Yeah its a really big snap ring on the back side

Yea thats what I thought would it be ok to take off with everything bolted up still. Did a boost leak test yesterday and its leaking there.

Wow I had never seen a boost leak from that area. Update this as to how you fix this. New snap ring perhaps?

Be sure to use good snap ring pliers, if you use normal pliers you better duck and run if it slips.

They sell some angled nose pliers too that work perfect. I tried some regular nose pliers and it went flying, good thing it just hit the wall instead of someone.

You can just take the cover off if you can get to it bolted up. I believe there is a oring that goes between the cover and chra this may be your culprit, or some kind of crack in the cover itself.

Its my DD so if I get it off tonight and it is the O ring will lowes home depot etc have it?

probably not cuase its a really really big o-ring id prob order it from extremepsi cuase i know they will probably have it

Here is what you need. It's #5 on the list. I'm not sure if you can buy it individuality or not from somewhere else.

While doing your blt, spray alittle soapy water and pin point the leaky area. After you find it make a mark with a marker, so when u remove cover u know exactly what to look for and where.
