Gt30r and Gt35 differences

So I have a Garrett turbo. the guy I bought it from said it was a 35r... But I recently bought a 30r exhaust housing and it fits the 35r perfectly... So I'm confused is it a 35r or a 30r what are some physical differences I can check to tell me which is which... Thanks guys

Measure the turbine wheel.

Sounds like a GT3082/GT3040 - GT35 compressor, GT30 turbine.

What size should the turbine wheels be

Off the top of my head a 30r turbine will have around a 55mm exducer, and a 35r is around 62mm.
