Gsx vs stock STi/EVO, what are my chances?

So my goal for right now is to beat a stock evo or stock sti. If i get all these mods, what are my chances?

-Intake
-Turboback exhaust
-EVOIII exhaust manifold
-MBC-set to 15psi
-Evo MR BOV
-14b turbo
-fmic
-190 fuel pump

and that would be WITH OUT a tune

and how would i do WITH a tune?

Sorry this is kinda bench racing, but you could just give me some numbers and not tell me weather i would win or lose according to my mods it wont be bench racing then

well... evo's boost 20 psi stock(on a big 16G) your gunna be at 15(on a little 14b)... you will lose .i use to own a Evo, you will need to be atleast 20 PSI

my evo ran a 13.1 with TBE, LICP, fuel pump, MBC, drop in filter and no tune.

if i put in a 16g, with all those other mods, how about that? will i need a bigger fuel pump? what are the numbers going to be around?

well you say that u ran 13.1 with all that stuff but ive read that some gsx's have been able to get mid 13s with turbo back, intake, mbc

and if i have those, fmic, bigger fuel pump, turbo upgrade and tune, that wont be enough?

Well If You Do Get The Evo Iii Turbo You Will Need To Upgrade Your Fuel System If You Turn Up The Boost. If You Do 20psi A Stock Fuel System Will Not Compensate For All That Extra Boost. So Basically You Will Need To Upgrade Your Fuel Pump, Injectors, Fuel Pressure Regulator, And A Device To Tune The Injectors Like Afc Neo Or Safc Or Dsm Link, Anything Else I Am Missing Guys?

Oh And I Forgot. Just To Let You Know I Tried To Run A Evo And Lost. I Have A Greddy 18g Turbo At 17 Psi. The Mistake I Made Was I Didnt Do My Fuel System. So Yea

hmmm soooo, how much money will i be investing to beat an evo? and how many mpg am i losing haha, thats also starting to become and issue with it almost being $4.00 for premium gas.

but how many whp am i looking at if i get all the mods in the 1st post?


Oh and one of my friends do have an STi but thats not why i want to beat one so bad, its not really beating them to me, its just how i set my goals. I want to run the same numbers for my car as those cars do. Idk, its hard to explain.

Bench Racing... I would say high two hundreds. Thats how I set my goals to, but all my friends have z28's or str4's.

Well With The New Fuel System Your Mpg Will Go Down Due To The Fact Your Using More Gas. And Yea It Sucks Due To High Gas Prices. Right Now I Get Less Than 12 Miles To The Gallon. Which Sucks But I Boost It Alot So Yea

and a nice clutch
that will beat evo's and sti's on a not to tired engine and with correct driving and no problems (boost leaks, etc)
(this was my old setup ran 12.90's) makes for a nice little quick car

My guess is you'll beat it by a few buses, you'll probably be in the 9's.....don't bench race, it's the rules.

oh and thats on stock ecu.. no tune.. nothing .. ran 16- 17 psi on the internaly gates turbo.. and the stock fuel was fine.. who ever says different is wrong because i ddi it for 2 years

you say not too tired engine... mines got 127.7k miles haha but it was a babied car with some old guy driving it never modded it, but i pretty much just got the whole head rebuilt.

Also johnsonroda, how much did you pay for your 16g?

I would'nt worry about gas so much because I make 25+ mpg on my current setup. Look in my profile for details. Also, instead of a SAFC I would get a GM MAF-T setup.

hahn smic was 500
turboback is like what 400
intake 250
clutch was like 500
OHHH and get a 1st gen bov if you already havent.. or a good bov the 2g ones a waste of life.. i also has hard intercooler piping everywhere but that shouldnt have made a huuuge difference..

First of all, I'm not arguing or getting mad. I'm simply answering your question.

And since you can't successfully navigate the web page I linked - I'll link the individual upgrade paths on the page that I previously linked - which shows exactly which parts to buy to get the 300whp mark which is what you'll need to compete with EVOs/STIs.

I'm glad you read the upgrade path.. it should have answered your original question on what parts you'll need to beat your EVOs/STIs.

Sure you can post and ask questions on forums, that's the whole point - but when it's already been answered why not just read a little? That's the point I'm making.. I'm not acting "tough" by any means.

I'm also really glad you thought my post was filled with "dumb stuff" when it answers the questions perfectly. Maybe you should take some of your own advice and battle cancer - which I'm sure you have loads of experience with.

If you have more questions about making power search and read. If you come up with nothing, then ask. Maybe you both should read the forum rules as well.

Why do u want to beat a stock Lancer Evo or Subaru WRX STI? I thought the same thing, a friend of urs has it right? Or you got beat by one before?

I never really seriously raced on the track, just would mess around here or there on the road. Last time I messed around was on an expressway heading east with a Hummer H2. I have no clue why he kept on trying to keep up with my GST, he doesn't have enough power to move all that weight faster than my car. Hence the term Power/Weight ratio. But besides that, last time I was heading west on that expressway, I messed around with a new Volkswagon Golf Mk5. He was wooping me by 3-5 car lengths, haha. I hate talking about that story.

I wish I see that volkswagon a few months from now, he's only gonna be seeing my tail lights.

And i don't see why people take the time to post dumb threads. Do some research it's not f'n hard. Think you can figure out what a stock evo/sti runs in the quarter? Do you think you can figure out what it takes for you to run faster than that in a dsm? God i hope so.

Oh and maybe we don't like people wasting forum space and clutterin things up with threads like this. Which, even if you say "sorry this is kinda bench racing," means it's still bench racing, which happens to be against the rules. You read those right? If not here ya go.
