I am sure this has been discussed before, but i couldn't find it. If a gsx and a gs-t raced on the highway and they weighed the same and had the same hp to the wheels, would there be a winner. I know people are always sayin that awd sux on the highway, but horsepower is horsepower, regardless of the number of wheels it is being put to. There is the matter of gears though, which might give the gs-t the advantage. Or would it?

I used to do the stoplight to stoplight racing, and 1/4 mile. Until I moved 50miles away from my college so I drive highway everyday.

High speed highway runs are just so much more fun.To me anyways. :thumb:

Can anyone post the exact stock weights of the 1gen Gst and Gsx, and possibly the true topspeed?

Before i had AWD, i had a camaro, and stop light races were bad news, but now that i got AWD i got nothin to worry about. Plus when ur at a light and the guy next to you knows you have AWD that makes them more nervous, and more likely to be sittin in a cloud of their own tire smoke. But, unless they are organized, a stop light race is rare, highway run is much more likely. :thumb:

I drove my '92 Eagle Talon AWD TSI and my brother drove my '94 Plymouth Laser RS Turbo, both stock, and he pulled on me at 50 mph but the gap stopped at about my front bumper to his rear bumper then I caught up because of top speed.

Im not necessarily siding with anyone but I know that my FW pulls on my AWD on the highway.
