Okay so i just got my stock 96 gst like a week ago and i was bored so i went out to the highway latenight and was just cruisin along at about 100mph (ok so not exactly cruising, like i said i was bored) i passed a few cars and then slowed down to about 60, in 5th gear. Next thing i know a new Eclipse GT flies by me like i was parked, so i dropped 2 gears and went after it. Once i caught up to him going about 110mph in 5th we were side by side and began going at it from there. We got up to about 140mph evenly, i pulled ahead a tiny bit, and then we both backed off. I know they don't make new Eclipse turbos, so i don't get why i didn't kill it? It looked stock so i am a bit confused. is my car slow or are the new Eclipse really that fast non turbo?

Also this was on RT 128 (Interstate 95) in the Bedford area in MA i think, if you were the red eclipse GT lemme know i'd like to race again  :thumb:

The above comment is a fiction. GSX came with V rated tires, not Z rated.

i dunno, i definately hit the 140 marker though. my stock tires are Z rated cuz i just got new ones to pass inspection and they were expensive cuz of the Z rating. It took me a while to get from about 125 to 140 though and i dont think i could have gone much faster if any at all. my car is stick so it has 210 hp but it is also stock so it ONLY has the 210.i am waiting to get back some tax money in order to put a few mods on. also i raced my friend in his 94 5.0 mustang gt, and won! his car is stock too, but that was a huge suprise when i pulled awa, we did start from a 30 mph roll though i dunno if that makes a difference, but i shifted under 6000 rpm's each time.

thanks for the imput everyone:thumb:
