Greddy Type-S BOV question?

I searched a bit but couldn't find a concrete answer or any pictures. Did Greddy make any Type-S BOV's in any color other than purple?

Not that I'm aware of. A lot of the colorful ones are knock-offs, a la' Ebay, and are known to be prone to early failure. Why?

And how do you pronounce your city name?

My car is red and I just don't think the purple would flow to well but I need a better BOV than this junkbox Turbosmart one I got. I certainly won't be getting any EBAY knock-off junk so I guess I gotta settle with that purple.

I get that a lot about my town name because it is weird.

You can always send it off to be powdercoated or re-anodized. Some people have used a special spray paint to get that anodized look successfully. I forgot the name of it, but it's available in almost any auto parts store.

One of my buddies just swapped the top with a knock-off one; apparently they are interchangeable.

Tial makes a BOV that comes in red.

Duplicolor makes the paint you're talking about. As far as powdercoating, sky's the limit!

Thanks for all the replies and ideas all!! I will probably go the paint or powder coat route if I really need to. Now all I have to do is find a good Type-S, on to the classifieds I go.

Greddy never made the typeS in another color but you could easily have it anodized any color you want. I had mine anodized in red and loved the look of it but i upgraded to a tial so i have it just sitting now unfortunetly

I don't know what the Greddy/Trust people were thinking. Purple, of all colors. WTF Not even any options.
