I purchased a set of hahn uic pipes on ebay and a type s bov was included. I just installed pipe with the bov to replace my 1g bov. The 1g bov has a nipple on top facing the engine, I think, and it's the vacum source I'm using for the mbc. Now that I have the type s, I noticed it has 2 nipples facing towards the firewall (see picture). Which one should I use as a source for my mbc and what do I do with the other one?

The vaccum hose attachs to the LARGER nipple. The smaller one you can leave alone. Also as far as tighting the valve on the top, you usally want it about 1/2-3/4 screwed in.

Thanks for the fast response. I hooked it up already and took the car for a ride. Everything seems to be workng perfectly. I didn't adjust the top valve. I just left it alone since the previous owner told me he left it the way he had it with his evo 16g. However he did mention that he modified the springs in the bov so that it could hold very high amounts of boost. That worried me because the first thing that came to my mind was turbo surge. But when I took it for a ride, there wasn't any fluttering. Just the normal ppppssshhh after letting off the gas. Though, I did noticed it's quieter than my 1g bov. Either way, quieter is better for me. Thanks again for all the help.

Miguel.

I actually did a search after I posted and found my answer. I guess I should've done that first. Either way, problem's solved. Thanks again for the actuator.
