I am having trouble with my Greddy Profec Type S. I cannot control boost (Goes to like 29 psi). Last year I had it hooked up to the NO port (for the internal wastegate), and this year I switched to a external 38mm tial and hooked up the NC port instead. I double checked all of the electrical connections, and made sure the vacuum lines werent pinched. I tried running a compressor through the NC port and all the air was just coming from the NO port, nothing is coming from the COMM port where it should be. While I was pressurizing the NC port, I tried turning the gain up and the boost up, not matter where I turned the knob it was still pouring out the NC port. I think this is my problem, it seems as if the valve is not opening therefore the wastegate is not opening and just spiking the boost.
Any other suggestions to try, Im def just going with a manual one if this shit the bed. It costs 175 for a new valve unit!! So I tried hooking up the NC port to pressure to see what would happen. Air did come out of both ports this time (COMM and NO) however when I was messing with gain and boost level the air consistency didnt change. What next to verify this unit is bad??
