I have a Spearco FMIC thats routing is to stock locations, A big 16G, A busher Upper pipe with a greddy BOV on it. My Turbo Feed to Intercooler has NO Nipple to do a short route Boost controller install so im Going from the Manifold to a Vacume T and running one to the Top of the BOV Nipple and the other into the MBC (Slowboy Racing) and then into the turbo wastegate. Now I dont think its BOOST spike but it just wasnt "regulating" boost.
I just got the car back together and went out for a run, when I gave WOT, Right away it Pegged my 20Lb autometer boost gauge. On my old setup witout the MBC I was running a Looped over setup and held 15 with an occasonal creep to 17lbs. ( prob from the 3in downpipe on a 14b) Ok maybe I dont understand the Way the MBC works but with the screw out its a LOW boost screw in its high boost. The screw is adjusted out on my setup curently
There is a Small Hole in the brass fitting on the top side *TO WasteGAte* of the MBC, Is that suppost to be there?, And what is the Lower Nipple for on the Greddy type S Just under the purple top part. I had it connected to the P vac output on my Throttle body, but after this little deal I just cut both ends off and capped both. After the VERY short run I also blew off the PVC valve vacume line into the intake wich caused it to die at a stop and not stay running.
but i fixed that. I Am not sure if the MBC is correct or do I have a Installation issue?
And what effect does the screw on top of the BOV have on the system, Is it just for sound or hold adjustment? It says soft or hard so what do I want. Im sure hard to help Hold boost but not sure its what that does or where it should be for my setup.
