Just curious to see if anyone has this bov yet. id like to know how it performs in comparison with the type s, and if it sounds similar to the type s as well. also does it fit on a type s flange... i currently have a type s but the threads where the spring adjusting screw screws into are stripped so i definitely in the market for a new bov

Thanks guys
Josh

I'm running it right now. Not really what I was expecting in terms of sound, kinda ricey at low psi( flutters cause I can't get the damn thing to stop compressor surge). Past 10 psi it sounds good though, more what I was looking for. The sound isn't as much of a piercing whistle as the HKS SSQV. Looks damn good, I painted the outlet black to match. If I can ever get a good combo of high and low boost characteristics out of it I will be happy.

It will fit on the Type S flange. As of yet it is not easy to get a recirc. kit.

Thanks for the info.... Anyone else have experience with the Type RS?

I had mine for 2 days and got rid of it, IMO the thing sounds like a damn Turkey. I liked it at 1st but now I dunno...I bought a older HKS BOV its a old school one that according to the guy i bought it from has a nice deep SWWWOOOOOSSSSHHHHH sound not like someone stuck a turkey call under my hood.

I like the sound of it, kinda of like a flutter. And the higher the boost the nicer the sound.

I'm running it. It surges at low boost, but after that it's quite loud. Not as much of a whistle as the Type-S. I don't have the recirc kit, I'm venting (properly). I tried to get a sound clip tonight, but I couldn't get a decent one.

is greddy actually making a recirc kit? i have yet to see one anyplace that the rs is sold

I called Slowboy sometime in February and they said they were waiting for them from Japan. I was told that they would be at least in the country by the first week of March, then I wound up not needing one because I went MAFT.

hey hope you can get that sound clip up i wanna hear it. i bought the RS for my car. any suggestions on hard and soft adjustments when running between 15-20 lbs of boost???
