Greddy type R or type S?

Greetings...this is my first post on dsmtuner. I am trying to decide between a greddy type r or type s...im thinking i should go with the r beings that im running 20 psi daily and around 25psi at the track...let me know what ya think...later

the Type S should be suffice for 20-25lbs of boost. But if you really want to spend the money on a Type R, than go ahead. It would be worth it if your running a really big turbo later on.

right now im actually running a garrett t3/t4 57 trim (ive been told that after my car is tuned, i should be able to run high 11s on race gas, so my car isnt stock ...)...im worried about the type r not releasing whem im not really getting on it...like for daily driving (im not gonna run 20psi everytime i hit the gas)...about at what psi does the type r release pressure at?...thanks, later

A greddy type-S will do the job but if you really want a blow off valve that can handle boost get the Tail blow-off valve,i have a buddy running a 60-1 turbo and the Tail is just what the doctor ordered.

well...beings that i dont have the $ for a tial...its down to the type r, or hks ssqv...ive heard many good things about the ssqv...can that upwards of 30 psi?

Since your profile is not filled out so I can not tell if you are in a 1G or 2G, I will share a tid bit on the type-r....

If you are running the stock-type UICP and not a short route of any type you can not use the Type-R. It is too tall to fit under the hood. The type-r is a good BOV but is really meant for people boosting 20+ psi.


The tial can be found for a good price and there is also the FORGE line-up that cna combine spring rates to get what you desire.

The type s should be good enough. The type r is for monster dsm's.
