I am ready to give up my home made mbc. Does anyone know of a really good MBC, minimal to no boost spike?

This Joe P MBC has been proven over and over and over again for years and years and years. Let's just say it's a good solid investment. ;)

yeah, getting the cheapest thing I can find on ebay usually ends up as a bad investment and usually breaks. So, hopefully it continues working well, if not I will save that link on my bookmarks.

joe p's are really good, i would look into something with an in-cabin switch to set high and low boosts...turns into a pain to go under the hood and get it high when you want. Hallman makes a nice one, i believe its the evolution model for 140 or so.

I have the Hallman pro and it's a very nice unit. The nice thing about it is that it also had the ability to get the cockpit add on if you would ever want to switch your boost for some reason. I found mine brand new on ebay for super cheap, just got to keep your eyes open.

Hallman Pro hands down. THey function perfect but also look great, and have a self locking knob so there are no lock nuts. turn it and go.

i'm trying to make up my mind about getting one mbc that'll do the work for long without any problems. thinking about a couple of mbc out there. thinking about the hallman es kit, the hallman pro kit, the turbo xs kit. which one should be the right one me? not planning to buy an expensive one though. needs some opinion on this, thanks

unless you want fancy in-cabin adjustment, or will need dual or quad stage capabilities, just get a Hallman ES or Hallman Pro.

I picked up a Hallman Pro from ExtremPsi and have had zero issues with it. The TurboXs is overpriced for just a standard ball & spring MBC imo.

will the hallman es kit work fine like the hallman pro kit? just looking for the cheapest mbc here that will work.

Always have heard great things about the Hallman (but haven't personally used it). I have used the JoeP IL MBC & its pretty cheap & works great. They also have a few different versions, depending on what your looking for. I also ran the TurboXS high performance model & would defently take the JoeP over it. While the turbo XS HP worked well with my T25, I couldn't get rid of huge spikes when running it with my old evoIII turbo setup (4-6psi spikes depending on gear & load). Also, should note I delt with Joe directly & he offered top notch customer service :thumb:

sorry I know this isn't my thread but I was wondering about whats good mbc to get. I don't know the numbers everyone else is going for but the setup I working on now will be 500 + to the wheel. Is the hallman good for that much or should I go elsewhere. sorry gst for butting in on your thread

Have had nothing but great luck with the Hallman Pro MBC. Use it on our shop car running over 30psi on a 35R and it held very consistantly, never let us down. You also cant beat the Pro kits ease of changing boost, just turn the knob and it self locks so there are no lock nuts to mess with.

not to mention they look quite good and come in a variety of colors ;)

We are currently running a sale on them, and their only 75$ for now!
