Not worth it. If a cop decides to pull you over and checks your engine compartment, your going to be in big trouble. They hate these breathers for some reason. Anything that effects any emission device can give the officer the right to tow your car away at his descretion of course.

Wow you have some strict laws. hah. Love missouri, no laws what-so-ever. Im fully stripped, no ps, no ac, no emmisions, no cat, nothing. Never say a word to me.

$3, keeps the ECU happy by retaining the metered air that it expects, keeps the oil gunk out of the intake tract, and won't raise suspicion.

If you have an auto parts store nearby they would probably have one. My local autozone has them. No waiting for shipping plus it's cheaper w/o shipping.

What do you do after that filter fills up with gunk?

Yeah, that's pretty much it. :) I try to do it at every oil change, so about every two or three months, sometimes four or more. Depends on how dirty it gets. At only $3 a piece, I just buy a few of them at a time and keep them in my car cleaning supplies box.

Thats just a fuel filter right? Thats pretty cool man, I think ive seen it before but forgot about it. I have the open filter and it sucks, makes you engine bay real dirty. I would do what mrboxx did.

It's a Purolator F20011 in-line fuel filter. It's equivalent to a Fram G2, in case you can't find Purolator. Fram is more commonly found in auto parts stores anyway.

Yea just check out Autozone or similar, they usually have HUGE selection of fuel filters. Theres actually some neat looking ones like stainless steel and some anodized rice flavors.
