Ok I found a gm maft set up for a $80 couldnt pass that up. So Ive been reading about safc and maft set ups and Im sort of confused.

The maft set up didnt come with instructions didnt care thats what you guys are forROFL. So the questions are:
1) what are the settings on the maft for 550s
2) is the safc now not needed
3)do I tune with the safc alone and just set the maft for 550s and leave that part alone

i like the safc for fine tuning on the fly but you don't need to have it. it's just a nice tuning device to have on the dash .

OKk. So basically the translator will work bt itelf then? I will keep the safc just in case. So the last question on this for me is when I set the translator up what should I set the safc to? Im guessing since I have the 550s I should zero it out which would be -18% and set base on the tranlator to the 550 setting and this would be ok? Then just tune translator to get my fts to around zero%

Set up the maft for the 550's which is like -19 to 20 %. then set the safc at zero . you can use the safc to tweak the fuel trims and then wide open throttle .
