Lasalle,
I have a Keydiver chip with a program for 550s and a 2G MAS. On my AFC I run no corrections, seems to like it that way. I have 550s and a 190LPH with the B&M command FLO@40psi. I read about compensateing for injectors with the MAFT but I don't think I'll need to do that seeing as how the chip does that. Unless I'm mistaken. Also, becasue the chip is programed for a 2G MAS does anyone think this could casue a conflict?

Does anyone have this setup or forsee any potential problems/conflicts? Any insight into how my setup will work is much appreciated.

So, do you have the MAFT or no? If you don't. you shouldn't have to correct anything on the AFC. The Keydiver does a pretty damn good job of doing that by itself. I just recently installed a Keydiver chip into my car at the same time I installed 850cc injectors. My old setup was a MAFT, 660's, and AFC. I had to jack the AFC around a lot to get the car running. Now, I hve the keydiver burned at 850cc, MAFT airflow, and to be honest, the car has never been easier to tune. I have EVERYTHING 0'd out. MAFT and AFC are both at 0. I run the 850's @ 45psi base. I've run the car at 29psi on my FP Green, with a/f ratio right around 11.5-11.6 :1 on race gas. I couldn't believe how well behaved the car is around town, and at the track, without touching a single thing. I've got the car leaned out around -10% just to get the a/f up to about 11.9:1 Still a bit rich, but I didn't care to go any leaner on the gas I was running.

On 25psi and 93 octane, car has gone 7.38@96 in the 1/8th. On my only decent race gas pass (which resulted in a broken slave cylinder), the car went 7.34@81 15mph slower, but still quicker than my best pass. Car should have 7.1 in it, which is close to 11.1 in the 1/4, with simple piggy back mods.

In a nutshell, I'm VERY pleased with the way this setup is working overall. I've had NOTHING but fits when trying to tune or set up any car with a MAFT that has injectors bigger than 600cc. REduction in airflow due to setting base settings to match injectors, makes for low throttle tuning, damn near impossible. The keydiver makes everything a snap. Highly recommended combo.

No, unfortunitly I do not have the MAFT combo yet, but I was looking to purchase it. Just wanted to know how the combo worked. Yes, the Keydiver chip is great. On my old car I had so many corrections on my AFC, with this car and this chip I have none, I coulden't beleive it, LOL. The chip took care of everything. Although the GM MAF conversion does seem like a good idea I'm starting to shy away. I've got a 2G MAS already and I am wondering if maybe there is something better to spend my money on that will produce better results. I'm still keeping it as an option, but perhaps it's money better spent on a Wideband. Thanks for the speedy reply.

I'm really glad to hear that you guys are having such success with the keydiver/ maft combo. I'm about to go with a maft/ 660s/ keydiver chip. With the chip in place, do I literally leave the maft's knobs on 0? I also want to do the installs one at a time (to help with trouble shooting any problems). Should I put in the 660s and chip first or put the maft on first? thanks for your help.

I just ordered a stage3 for 660's, maft, 8000 rev limit. Im very excited, cuz im sick of dicking around with the afc and having it still run like shit on my afc/2g mas. From what everyone says you can pretty much leave everything at 0.

My car ran like crap too on 550's + SAFC on 2g MAS....until I dyno tuned it. I gained 30HP just on tuning alone.

Well another reason im excited is cuz my datalogger isnt workin, and i cant tune at all, it will be nice to just have it work how its supposed to and leave it alone and spend time on other things. I was only trapping 103-104 at 18-19psi on pump gas with my 20g, thats how bad tuning was. Although i found out once my engine was out that my knock sensor was completely thrashed and all the stuff leaked out all over the block which is supposed to mean its bad.

The chip is damn near perfect right out of the box. All settings on maft and afc at zero. I believe that the only way to get it perfect would be on a dyno or with a wideband. Those chips are awesome! :thumb:

I am about to order a chip for my 720cc's with all the options :thumb:

hopefully with the chip and a AFPR I can get my car running like it should again..

I've got the keydiver chip and some 660's installed right now with no other fuel management. I'm waiting on a maft but have a regular 1g mas in right now. The car runs better than ever and no knock on the logger at all. I'm thinking I may be able to lean it out a little once I get the translator installed. or turn up the boost

i have 650's, MAFT, SAFC, and my car is a big pile of junk. Always phantom knocks, sometimes runs rich, sometimes lean, my o2's are all over the place, my timing it whack, im always playing with the safc and when the car seems ok, it goes back to crap the next day. I just ordered an eprom ecu. I will be getting a keydiver chip with updated fuel trims and timing maps. I am certain it will fix my tuning problem. I ran a 13.2 on 14b last weekend, but it was very difficult to do. I had to play with the cas and SAFC every run. My car will never run a 13.2 again cuz now it feels like an 18.2. Oh yeah, and that was on race gas 20 psi how pathetic is that? I cant wait to get this chip.

Only runs like poo cause you play with it too much hehe. Im chipping my eprom, since DSMLINK is too pricey for me to justify it right now. The combo has had great success, and gonna be great for my new 880cc injectors. :thumb:

I have the keydiver chip, 550's, maft, and an afc. They all work great together. You do not need to set the maft for 550's since its already corrected in your chip. I made the mistake of doing that and i knocked all over the place, i never knew why i was doing it until i went to the dyno and the guy popped off the plate to my maft and was like dude you set this wrong!!! Just set your maft to the stock injector settings and your chip will take car of the rest. Now im making 357 to the wheels and zero knock.

Where can i get this chip at?

Dont forget you will need an eprom ecu. A regular ecu will not take this chip. You will need to pull your ecu out and pop it open and look. You can find an explination of an eprom ecu in in vfaq.
