Should I set up my GM MAFT settings so that the car runs with a pretty close to perfect AFR with my SAFC-2 set close to 0, and then fine-tune it with the SAFC-2? To me, this would seem like the way to go. It would be like having a stereo with an aftermarket seperate equalizer, setting the stereo to "flat", and adjusting with the aftermarker EQ (for those, like me, who like analogies)!

yup.just get your fuel trims as close to zero as possible(ltft and stft) with the maft, the go with the afc to fine tune it.and thats a good way to look at it,comparing it to a stereo,LOL.cd player gets it in the neighborhood,eq makes it better.

That would definitely be the best way to do it. The afc is much more handy and is right there with you in the cockpit for quick changes. Just get it close like you said with the maft and then use that afc and you should have a nice tune!

Thanks a bunch guys. That's what I thought.

And GILZTSIAWD, it looks like I'm in a similar situation as you were a few weeks ago - Hurricane Rita is coming to wipe me out!

That sucks man! Looks like its getting weaker though, lets hope it keeps doing that. Still stronger than Katrina right now though. I have an aunt named Rita, and she is a bia! Let's hope this hurricane isn't anything like her! My prayers are with you man!
