ok, im thinking of getting a gm maft setup, what do you do with the stock 2 hoses coming off of the intake when i replace the intake pipe with dejons straight intake pipe?

I had the same quadry long ago. I have a straight intake with no accomodations for those hoses. YOu can Have Dejon include accomodations for those hoses in the new MAFT inake. A wee bit more $$ I beleive but worth it if you want to keep things as close to stock as possible for Fuel Trim reasons.

You can use the DJ straight intake with no accomodations for those hoses.

and

Plumb/drill/JBweld/thread your own attachments to the new straight pipe to keep the hoses like stock. IF your confident in your hacking skills and don't mind possibly making that nice peice look 'hacked'

Plug the charcoal canister hose? (the bigger one) I did this with no problems but I know its not IDEAL. Some one please correct me if Its better to ventelate that one.

Vent the Crank Case hose or run it through a catch can releaved by the PCV. (litle more involved ) That'll keep oil outa your intake/IC,

I'm soon going to use a catch can and hack those hose back in to my straight pipe. MOst certainly in an effort to make sure all the counted air is staying in the system.

You'll like that MAFT, I assume you have a logger?

Both of mine just hang there with the nipples on the intake plugged.

btw I don't have the charcoal canister in the car anymore.

The charcoal cannister, or at least the line running to it from the gas tank, need to be left unplugged. It's there to let the vapors out of the gas tank so it doesn't get pressurized.

Thanks.. I unplugged it, and noticed while I was in there. That there is a hose missing from the front nipple on the top of the canister. I assume this ia a problem?

AND there is a small grey filter attached to a hose from the tank then to the canister. Its been coroded by acid and is leaking under boost.. Can someone tell me what that little filter thing is or a part number?

Just so happens today I got a CEL

"P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshhold (Bank 1)"

Can someone take a shot at that for me? something to do with the o2 sensor perhaps?
