Hate to hear the news. My dad went thru Chemo and I hate to see anyone have to deal with that. Hope she pulls thru okay.

Also, please post up pics of the car when you have the chance so we can all see how it's coming along. Good luck with everything and her goal as well.

The build has started. I will be posting pictures tomorrow in the build thread. Jason Wier worked on the car today. I was unable to be there today due to Wendy being really sick and running a fever. The FMIC has been installed on the car. The oil pan has been dropped and the factory pistons and rods were removed. The cyclinder walls have been honed. We are waiting on the pistons to arrive to really get this build going. I hope to see them first of the week. I will get out to the shop tomorrow to snap some pitures. Look for them tomorrow as I will post them up. Again, I thank everyone for their support and prayers!

FYI.....I was told that this WILL be in a magazine but I cannot state which one until everything is finalized. We are looking for a auto photographer in the eastern NC area that has a portfolio to send in.

Another good idea to help out would be if we could get a company like extreme psi or slowboy to give anyone that donates a 5% discount on their next order or something along those lines.

Let me start off by saying I am sorry to here of your dire situation and me and my wife's prayers are with you.

Two years ago my father died of liver cancer. He had a heart transplant 10 years prior and he could not treat the cancer due to complications from the transplant. He said one thing he had to do before he left us was take a ride in my car. I had been building it and touting it for a couple of years. I gave him the ride of his life and he loved it. I had never seen him happier. He said"You were not lying this thing is really f'ing fast." and he had some solace after that.

I am praying that your wife gets to have a moment just like this. Best of luck and keep fighting.

Maybe I speak for the poor people such as myself. I don't have the funds to donate or the parts right now. But I'd sure like to. I'll at least be following along and hope for the best on this project. Wish there was a way I could help out in some way to make your goal happen. If nothing else, just tell her that us poor dsm'ers are thinking about her and wishing her well also. Not just the people who have the means to make it happen for ya'll.

I have not posted in years. I just happened to browse an old forum I was on & found this link. Just wanted to let you know that you will be in our prayers.
I am very proud of all the members on this forum & all the other forums that are supporting you & your family.
Even though I am no longer in the DSM family(not for about 5 years now) I still feel proud that I was part of it. As anyone can tell, even though we are/were cheap bastards, the money saved obviously comes in handy when it is truly needed to full fill wishes & we do not hesitate to use it to help others.

Every single time I get on this board it is always a warm feeling of love and compassion. I truly thank everyone for that! I really do. I really hate to keep asking for things. Are there parts that will still be needed? Yes, there are. The biggest invest thus far is a LSD. I have been chatting back and forth each day with John Shepard. He has donated his time and gearsets but is unable to produce a LSD. I am very very thankful for what he is doing. John stated that he is going to get with the wave trac owner tomorrow. I will keep everyone posted on this. Im sure he can give us a great deal on it?

* 93/94 axles IF, IF, IF Wavetrac works out, it only comes in 27 spline
*Head banjo bolt, AN feed line, and AN return line for the S259ET Borg Warner turbo.
*Non cruise throttle cable
*non turbo oil filter housing or turbo non 90 ( no cooler) beacuse of intercooler piping
*Knock Sensor
*Couplers from intercooler- 3" to 2.5" (piping) need 2 prefer black
* There is a HUGE list of AN lines, I will not post it.....

Update on Wendy.......Her White blood cell count has bottomed out and is very sick right now and they have put her port and chemo off until it goes up. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She need this chemo......

Brad, I have a new in box forward facing oil filter housing. Its yours if it works for you guys, its set up to feed the turbo of it, also have a NIB 1g oil supply line for a 1g. Might look good sitting on that green. Let me know if this stuff can be of use to you.

Don't feed the turbo from the head, it'll need more pressure than you'll get up there. I'm going to send it down with the return line already with it so you're covered there. I believe I also have a brand new in the box knock sensor for a 1G floating around in the garage, I'll double check and let ya know.

Be careful what you wish for. Shawn, for those of you who know him used to say the exact same things now wishes otherwise. I'm worse then him when it come to spending money on these dmn cars. First I just wanted a slow bracket street car then I wanted to go faster and did that. Then faster and faster. Now we have the laser. But then I just had to have a VR4, so I got that. Now I relly want a DD 2g. But al the money gone. I have been diaganosed with DSM addiction. I'm considering 12 step program and applying for disability.....
