Alright... I just watched 2Fast2Furious (no flaming, please) and wanted to know what kind of BOV makes the fluttery sound that the Skyline makes? I heard that the HKS SSQ does when adjusted right, is this true? Any other BOV's to look at to make this sound? I just love it so much more then the high pitched "pssh" sound that most make.

That's usually from a bov thats not adjusted right, or from a turbo running lower boost than it takes to open the bov all the way. So any bov CAN make that sound i suppose, it's more a matter of how it's adjusted than what brand. :dsm:

Usually its compressor surge, which is why there is a BOV in the first place. With mine, it does that with lower pressures, but above about 8 psi it sounds normal. Although it might be cool, that isn't a sound you want the car to make.

So, your saying if I got a Greddy Type-RS, it would do that? I just read that it will make the fluttery sound at low boost, but sound normal (high pitched pssh) under higher boost, correct?

Also, does the SSQ do this?

Your joking right... WTF

Like someone said its compressor surge and thats not a good thing. So you want a cool sound and have the blow off vavle perform like ass? Mine as well just buy one of those fake ebay bov sound things, that might be what your looking for.
