its suposed to work now, and i didn't make a boost leak test because i dont have the thing to do it, i'll try to make one boost leak tester... and the blade spin freely and its suposed to get oil, how to be really sure??

my 14b sounds just like that people from accross the street hear it when it spools been like that forever and no problems, by the way your bov hits hard love it which one are u using?

Sounds like the same thing my turbo is doing. I talked to a friend of mine, that this happened to as well, and he said that his turbo lasted a week with this noise. He had no shaft play either, as do i. So I am babying mine until my 16g comes in. Once i pull of the 14b ill take a look at the exhaust side and let you know what i find.

its a rfl(real ####**n loud) just 2-3 psi is enough to get a loud pitshhhhh from it! aniway... i just want to know if its all corect, my other 14b doesnt sound like that, maybe because the seal are dead and have horrible shaft play on it , and now this new turbo is strong and its the normal sound??

TO make sure it's getting il, disconnect the oil return from the oil pan and run it into a cup, then start the car. I think it's something like 1/2 to 1 cup of oil for every 30 seconds of the car running with oil pressure, taken from the checklist garrett use to send with their turbos for the post install things to check.

I usually just start the car with the drain in a coffee can and if it looks like a respectable amount of oil is coming out for 30 seconds i just hook it up and cal it good. I don't think you really need to measure it.

It may be a slight air leak at the TB seals, or it could be fine. camcoreders never relay engine sounds correctly so it's hard to tell. My TB seals leak and it sounds very similar to what you have in your video, once i'm at boost i can hear rushing air coming out of that area and the FIAV housing, but since i run seed density i don't worry too much about it even though i'm giving up a few ponies with it leaking, i'll rebuild it all someday this fall when it's not 100* outside

Mine sounded like that before. It was a boost leak. In particular, the gromet around the post of the bov tore. (2g uicp w/ 1g bov)

ok, its now correct, i've made a boost leak tester and make the test, i've got a leak at the j-pipe, the gasket was not in perfect shape, so i've changed it and its now perfect and the car boost so nicely ;):sneaky:

I see you found it, if i would have found this earler i would have told you its a boost leak and sounds to be around your jpipe, Mine did the same thing drove me nuts, till i did the soap/water spray trick around the couplers on my IC piping and found it was there.

You're running 9 or lower A/F ratio up top from the video. Could your bov be opening up, releasing the boost, causing your maf to read high and run you rich? If so, your turbo is over working to compensate for that huge boost leak. The noise sounds good but you're overworking your turbo if you don't have it tight.
